Bangladesh is waiting for the final decision from the Guinness World Records authority after a nationwide football campaign organised by Clear Men from Unilever Bangladesh.
The campaign, titled "Pass Koro, Record Goro", ran from 25 September to 6 November. It began with a pass by Hamza Choudhury and drew strong interest from football fans across the country.
Participants were asked to upload a short video on social media. They received a football from the left, controlled it with their feet, and passed it to the right. Clear Men said the target was to form a long virtual chain across Bangladesh.
To support the effort, Clear Men held ground activations at 50 locations in 12 districts. Thousands of people took part, including digital influencers and football fans of different ages.
The campaign received 8,922 video submissions. Clear Men said this reflects the strong interest of the public and the deep emotional link Bangladesh has with football.
Unilever Bangladesh said it hopes the attempt will secure a new record and bring a moment of pride for the country.
