Three police officers were injured in a crude bomb blast at Kotalipara Police Station in Gopalganj last night.
The injured include Kotalipara Police Station constables Irene Nahar, 31, Nazrul Islam, 52, and Arif Hossain, 33.
They received initial treatment at Kotalipara Upazila Health Complex.
Dr Kumar Mridul Das, Health and Family Planning Officer of Kotalipara upazila, told reporters that the injured informed him they were hurt in a crude bomb explosion while on duty at the police station.
They sustained splinter injuries, which were not serious, and were given primary treatment before being released.
Officer-in-Charge of Kotalipara Police Station Khandakar Hafizur Rahman told The Daily Star that around 10:00pm, miscreants hurled one crude bomb at the police station, and around the same time, two more were thrown at the upazila parishad premises.
An investigation into the incident was underway.
