The Spartans' Communication Club of the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) at the University of Dhaka successfully organised "MIDAS Financing PLC presents Freshmen Glory 2025" at the FBS Management Club on Thursday, 5 December 2025.
The signature programme was dedicated to welcoming and empowering newly admitted students of FBS and featured a vibrant display of talent, intellect and creativity.
The event was judged by four distinguished professionals — Nabanita Islam, Assistant Product Manager at Yamaha, ACI Motors; Ziad Al Noman Pranto, Brand Manager at Unilever Bangladesh; Md Istiaz Uddin, Finance Executive at IPDC Finance PLC; and Towfiq Ahmed, Brand Manager at Marico Bangladesh Ltd. All four are alumni of Spartans' Communication Club and returned to guide and inspire the new generation of communicators.
Two senior alumni of the club attended the programme as guests of honour — Tanvir Hasan, FCA, Deputy Managing Director of MIDAS Financing PLC, and Nuruzzaman Al Amin, Senior Manager of MIDAS Financing PLC.
Following competitive performances across three challenging rounds, Team Bizlytics emerged as champion, while Team Banana Logic Committee and Team Stardust secured the first runner-up and second runner-up positions respectively. The competition featured a prize pool of Tk25,000, aimed at encouraging students to step beyond their comfort zones and develop confidence, analytical skills and critical thinking.
The programme concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, during which guests praised the initiative for its professionalism, organisation and the strong performances of the participants. The freshers also expressed their gratitude for the opportunity, noting that the event motivated them to strive for excellence in their academic journey.
Freshmen Glory remains one of the flagship programmes of Spartans' Communication Club, designed to discover new voices, inspire young minds and foster a culture of communication among the newest members of FBS.
