For a long time, filmmaker Raihan Rafi kept the cast of his upcoming supernatural film "Andhar" tightly under wraps. However, the director finally lifted the curtain on the film's lineup during Geek Myth's podcast.
Rafi announced that Siam Ahmed will portray Detective Delwar, Chanchal Chowdhury as Shamsher, Nazifa Tushi as Nadia, Mostofa Monwar as Inspector Monowar, Farrukh Ahmed Rehan as Himel, Afsana Mimi as Hazera Khatun, Gazi Rakayet as Halal, Swarnali Choity as Maya, and Tanzika Amin as Piya.
The podcast was even more special as it was hosted by Cryptic Fate's Shakib Chowdhury who is one of the three writers behind "Andhar". Alongside him, Bassbaba Sumon of Aurthohin and Adnan Adib Khan have co-written the story and screenplay.
According to Shakib, the film will be a horror tale deeply rooted in Bangladeshi culture — blending elements of mystery, thriller, murder, and emotion, instead of relying solely on the jump-scare formula often seen in Western horror.
The film also boasts an impressive behind-the-scene lineup, including Sumon Sarker as Director of Photography (DOP), Shihab Nurun Nabi as Art Director, Mohammad Tarek as Makeup and Hair Artist, Anika Zareen as Costume Designer, Sworna Bhoumick as Prosthetic Artist, Ahsan Habib Shawon as VFX Supervisor, and Arafat Mohsin Nidhi as the Film Composer.
