Police last night arrested e-commerce platform Qcoom's Managing Director Ripon Mia from the 300-feet area.
A team of Badda police arrested him around 11:30pm, said Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station.
"He is accused in several cases filed over forgery," he added.
Earlier on March 6, a Dhaka Court issued an arrest warrant against Qcoom Chairman Md Ayub Ali and MD Md Ripon Miah in a fraud case.
Complainant Mehedi Hasan Foysal, owner of 3S Corporation BD, made an order of Tk 82.44 lakh from Qcoom's "Big Billion Returns" campaign on June 27, 2021. He was supposed to get the products under his order within 21 to 25 working days, but the online shopping platform failed to do this.
Foysal on August 13, 2024, filed the case against Qcoom's chairman and its MD and the court asked the PBI to investigate the matter.
