Md Monzur Mofiz has been appointed additional managing director (AMD) of The Premier Bank PLC and has been given the responsibility of managing director (current charge), effective from 14 December 2025.
A career banker with nearly 32 years of experience, Monzur Mofiz began his professional journey at Sonali Bank PLC in 1993. Before joining Premier Bank, he served at ONE Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank, The City Bank, AB Bank and Sonali Bank in various capacities.
During his career, he has played a key role in centralising corporate banking operations, formulating fund management policies, strengthening cost control mechanisms and driving deposit growth in retail and SME banking. His leadership also contributed to the expansion of mobile financial services and agent banking in remote areas, as well as the introduction of full-fledged Islamic banking services.
Monzur Mofiz holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and an MBA in finance from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. His professional expertise includes industry analysis, financial inclusion, credit and equity structuring, team development and stakeholder management.
Under his leadership, Premier Bank aims to accelerate customer-focused growth, advance digital innovation and strengthen governance practices.
