Netflix has struck a wide-ranging partnership with Yash Raj Films (YRF) to bring the storied studio's catalogue to subscribers worldwide, rolling out titles in phases tied to festivals, special dates and industry milestones.
The slate launches on November 1; Shah Rukh Khan's birthday—with nine of the superstar's signature YRF films, including "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Mohabbatein", "Dil Toh Pagal Hai", "Veer Zaara", and "Chak De! India". Additional classics—Sridevi's "Chandni" and "Lamhe", Amitabh Bachchan's "Kabhi Kabhie" and "Silsila", and Anil Kapoor's "Vijay"—arrive from November 14.
A holiday push will follow from December 12–28, with two films premiering daily (34 in total), featuring "Bunty Aur Babli", "Hum Tum", "Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic", "Mujhse Dosti Karoge!", and "Ta Ra Rum Pum". Three Salman Khan blockbusters—"Ek Tha Tiger", "Sultan", and "Tiger Zinda Hai"—debut on December 27 to mark the actor's birthday.
Franchise rollouts include the "Dhoom" trilogy from November 28, and Rani Mukerji's "Mardaani" series from January 22, 2026. The partnership extends into next year with a Valentine's week collection from February 7, featuring eight romantic titles such as "Saathiya", "Ishaqzaade", "Bachna Ae Haseeno", and "Salaam Namaste".
"This marks a milestone for Indian cinema on Netflix," said Monika Shergill, VP, India Content, noting that the collaboration pairs YRF's heritage with Netflix's global reach, giving fans a fresh way to rediscover beloved films while introducing them to new audiences.
Akshaye Widhani, CEO of YRF, added that the library represents five decades of culture and creativity. "We are humbled by the love for our movies, and thrilled that this legacy will now speak to new generations globally on Netflix," he said.
