Vice Chancellor of the National University Professor Dr ASM Amanullah paid tribute to the nation's martyred intellectuals at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Mirpur.
He laid wreaths at the memorial in the early hours of Sunday, 14 December, and stood in silence for a while to honour the memories of the martyrs.
Following the programme in Mirpur, the vice chancellor paid tribute at the Rayer Bazar Killing Field Memorial at 9am.
During the wreath-laying ceremonies at both the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial and the Rayer Bazar Killing Field Memorial, deans of various faculties, the registrar, controller of examinations, heads of departments and offices, chairpersons, teachers, officers and staff of the university were present alongside the vice chancellor.
