Md Monzur Mofiz has been appointed Additional Managing Director of The Premier Bank PLC and has taken charge as Managing Director (Current Charge) from December 14, 2025.
He has nearly 32 years of experience in the banking sector. He began his career at Sonali Bank in 1993. Before joining Premier Bank, he worked at ONE Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank, The City Bank, AB Bank and Sonali Bank in different roles.
During his career, he has been involved in centralising corporate banking operations, developing fund management policies and improving cost control. He has also worked on retail and SME deposit growth, expansion of mobile financial services and agent banking in remote areas, and the introduction of Islamic banking services.
Md Monzur Mofiz holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. His experience includes industry analysis, financial inclusion, credit and equity structuring, team development and stakeholder management.
