Dhaka's Detailed Area Plan (DAP) 2022–2035 amendment brings major changes for building heights and urban development. Now, many areas across the city allow taller buildings and more flats, while population blocks have been reorganized for better planning. The draft Dhaka Metropolitan Building Regulation–2025 also introduces lifetime occupancy certificates, mandatory sewage treatment plants, and sustainable building requirements.
