Earlier, the makers officially announced Tasnia Farin as one of the lead actresses in "Prince", adding that another heroine would also star opposite Shakib Khan.
Rumours soon circulated that Kolkata-based actress Jyotirmoyee Kundu had been cast in the role.
Multiple sources associated with the production have confirmed the development to The Daily Star. According to them, Jyotirmoyee Kundu has officially joined the cast. Earlier, there was speculation that Kolkata actress Idhika Paul might take the role.
Directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud and produced by Shirin Sultana under the banner of Creative Land Films, "Prince" is set to go into production soon. The makers are aiming to release the action-based film next Eid.
If all goes according to plan, shooting will begin in the first week of December.
Jyotirmoyee Kundu made her acting debut with the Kolkata television series "Bodhua". Her second project, "Projapoti 2", starring Dev, is slated for release in December.
