Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has signed a payroll banking agreement with LZ Group, a leading and fast-growing industrial conglomerate in Bangladesh with a strong presence in the apparel and textile sector.
The agreement was signed recently at EBL's head office in Dhaka by Nurul Haque, Chief Executive Officer of LZ Group, and Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director of EBL, on behalf of their respective organisations.
Senior executives from both organisations were present at the signing ceremony. From EBL, attendees included Md Obaidul Islam, Head of Relationship Unit – Corporate Banking; Sarmin Atik, Head of Liability and Wealth Management; and Trisha Taklim, Head of Payroll Banking. Representatives from LZ Group included Md Rafiquzzaman, Executive Director, and Anwar Shahadat, Group General Manager.
Under the agreement, EBL will provide customised payroll banking solutions tailored to the needs of LZ Group employees. The services will include salary accounts, seamless digital salary disbursement through EBL Connect, and a range of exclusive retail banking benefits.
Eligible employees will also have access to specialised offerings under EBL Women Payroll and EBL Islamic Payroll.
