New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has been joined by Bangladeshi-born communications strategist Zara Rahim, who will lead the transition team. The all-female team will guide the administration after Mamdani takes office on January 1, 2026. Zara previously served on Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's campaigns and in international organizations.
