Bangladesh's women's team were supposed to tour India in December for three ODIs and three T20Is under the ICC Future Tours Programme, but the series is now reportedly likely to be postponed.
According to the Hindustan Times, a BCCI official informed that the tour has not received the necessary approval.
BCB, however, has not received any official communication from it's Indian counterparts in this regard.
"The BCCI has not said anything yet regarding postponement. We have seen the news and are awaiting developments," a BCB official involved in planning of the tour informed.
While neither board has made a formal announcement, administrative complications and the current state of government-level relations are understood to have slowed progress, including the finalisation of dates and venues.
This comes after India's men's tour of Bangladesh was shifted to September 2026 due to "international cricketing commitments and mutually workable schedules".
