Bangladesh Under-17 men's football team thrashed Brunei 8-0 in their second Group A match of the AFC Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers in Chongqing, China on Monday.
Rifat Kazi and Opu scored braces while Faysal, Manik, Alif and Bayzit netted one goal each as the Bangladeshi boys made easy work of their opponents.
Bangladesh dominated the game from the start, with Opu opening the scoring in the 13th minute, converting a pass from Faysal. The team scored three more goals in the first half to go into the break with a 4-0 lead.
After the interval, Bangladesh doubled the margin with four more goals and also maintained a clean sheet.
Bangladesh are now leading the six-team Group A with two wins in as many matches.
Earlier on Saturday, they defeated Timor-Leste 5-0.
