35 ex-BDR men released from Kashimpur jail

Thirty-five former members of BDR have been released from Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur in a case filed under the Explosives Control Act in connection with the BDR mutiny of 2009.

They were released from the jail in phases from 6:30pm today after their bail papers reached the jails in the afternoon, said jail superintendents.

Senior Jail Superintendent of Kashimpur High Security Central Jail Mohammad Al Mamun said, the bail papers for one former BDR member reached the jail this afternoon. Later, after verifying the papers, he was released in the evening.

Two former BDR members have been released from Central Jail Part-1, said Senior Jail Superintendent Abu Noor Md Reza, and 32 former BDR men have been released from Central Jail Part-2, said Senior Jail Superintendent Md Al Mamun.
